DJINDIBIK MURRUP

Cleanse the Spirit is an authentic and important process to help support First Nations People of the world through intergenerational and generational trauma, to deepen their connection to their Spirit and purpose, and to increase the strength and resilience of our community.

DJINDIBIK MURRUP

Is a component of Biik Bundjil, a Cultural Organisation focused on embedding Boonwurrung Culture into modern day society. For over 5 years, Biik Bundjil has worked to create a safer environment for First Nations People of the world through education, collaboration and connection.

Our Vision

To see a world with First Peoples communities thriving in health, love, trust and connection to family and country. To develop an evolving, accountable, and trusted network of healing practitioners that work with our communities to bring strength and love back into the world.

Our Practice

We aim to work with and through the collective trauma of our First Peoples community through one-on-one therapy sessions, emotional intelligence group discussions, and by inspiring First Peoples to become healing warriors in order to support their families and communities.

Our work’s purpose is to move into a shared future where healing and emotional intelligence is openly and freely shared. We hope to achieve this through our own offering, as well as by providing a gateway for First Peoples to receive free therapy and healing sessions through their selected organisations.

“HEAL THE PEOPLE, HEAL THE COUNTRY.”

We do this as First Peoples and First Nation mental health practitioners with lived experience in our communities.

Through our work, we engage directly with staff and clients of organisations at their place of business, at the St Kilda Botanical Gardens, or in online sessions (via Zoom).

We also provide one on one sessions to anyone from all communities that are looking to live a better & brighter life.

We approach our sessions as a deeply collaborative connection between practitioner and client that takes a strengths-based approach to sharing our unique stories (who we are), developing our skills in emotional intelligence (where we’re at), and strengthening our sense of identity and resilience (where we want to be). Our goal is to support First Peoples in their journey of finding unconditional love for themselves and their lives.

About

I am a proud Boonwurrung and Barkindji man. I am a Cultural Educator, Motivational Speaker, Clinical Hypnotherapist, NLP practitioner and Success Coach. I have lived experience of intergenerational and generational trauma, family violence, homelessness, addiction; and have worked hard for the past 6 years to come back to Spirit and Country.

My own journey has involved working closely with and listening to Elders, Uncles and Aunties and undertaking hundreds of hours in therapy (including EMDR, Hypnotherapy, CBT, IFS, Somatic Therapy, and Men’s Group). Through my work at Biik Bundjil, I’ve put into practice the skills, experiences, and emotional intelligences I have found to facilitate strong, culturally aware, and compassionate community workshops embodying a shared future and connection.

From both my personal life and in my service to others, I have developed deep understanding, practical experience, and sense of purpose in doing the work of connecting to Spirit and country. It is an honour to work with clients in their journey to self love, appreciation, and authenticity.
